With care and support workers providing competent and professional support services to clients in their own homes, Havilah Care offers flexibility meeting a range of health, cultural, religious and social needs. From personal care to more specific services like hair plaiting, we offer a ‘golden’ service.
Our services are available 364 days a year, from 7.30 a.m. to 10.30p.m. Visits to service users may occur up to four times a day, seven days a week, but could be considerably less. Call us to discuss something more bespoke.
Havilah Care’s client groups are Learning Disabilities, Mental Health, Palliative Care, Physical Disability, Children, Elderly and Rehabilitation. We offer the following services:
This includes, washing service user’s body and hair, dressing, use of the toilet , eating and drinking, personal grooming, prompting medication, preparation of meals taking into account dietary needs, personal preference, and cultural and religious needs, emptying of commode.
All such assistance will be given while observing the service users dignity and privacy.
Assisting the service user to get in and out of the bath, ensuring that the special adaptations and bath aids are used.
Escorting service users to the shops, hospital and Day Centres and walking service users around the park
Tasks include; washing, shopping, ironing, cleaning areas used by the client, e.g. bathroom, kitchen, bedroom, lighting or turning on gas or wood heating fires.
Many service users have family carers looking after them almost all the time. That family carer needs a regular break probably for one week in every four or six weeks. If the service user does not want to go into a nursing or respite home, we can provide a carer to live-in with the client while the family carer takes a well earned break.
We provide reliable carers in a variety of situations where it becomes desirable for service users to have 24 hours support in their own homes.
Shopping for service users from ethnic minority groups e.g. African, Caribbean or Asian origin, assisting with bulk shopping, assisting with out-of-borough shopping
Social Care Needs
Tasks include; collecting pensions/prescriptions, providing information, talking and listening, reminiscing, helping to maintain links with family and friends, assisting with social and recreational activities as part of the care plan, reading/writing

To facilitate resettlement after a long stay in hospital or history of neglect, Havilah Care’s intensive cleaning squad will carry out a blitz clean of the property after a risk assessment has been carried out.
