Level 2 NVQ Certificate in of Business and Administration
This qualification provides evidence of competence of being in a supporting role in an office environment. Optional units provide opportunity to show understanding and skills in a variety of areas, including basic finance, IT and contributing to events. Learners can progress to the Level 2 Diploma, or to a Level 3 qualification.
Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Business and Administration
This qualification is a competence based qualification. It is aimed at people who already have experience of office-based skills and wish to specialise in business and administration functions; perhaps in, or preparing for a line management role. Learners can choose from a bank of optional units which show their ability to negotiate, supervise, manage and contribute to the running of an office. On completion, learners can progress to a Level 4 qualification.
Certificate in Principles of Business and Administration
This qualification is suitable for those who wish to gain knowledge of administration. It is particularly appropriate as a Technical Certificate for those undertaking the Apprenticeship in Business and Administration.
A mixture of mandatory and optional units is included, which learners must complete to achieve the overall qualification. The mandatory units cover generic knowledge which is needed for administrative roles, and the optional units allow learners to specialise according to their own areas of interest. Customer service may be the basis for someone's job role, or just one of many responsibilities. Either way, customer-facing activity is fundamental to business performance. Whatever the sector, these up-to-date, flexible Apprenticeships answer the needs for raising standards in customer service and providing more people with the right skills. The Customer Service Apprenticeships are suitable for job roles ranging from customer service assistants through to customer relationship managers. Available in levels 2 and 3.

This qualification, launched by OCR on 1 August 2010, is intended for individuals who have a responsibility for the work of others, as they lead a team. It is suitable for people who are entering management, or who have the ability and the opportunity to demonstrate recognisable management and leadership skills, for example, providing leadership for your team, encouraging innovation, allocating and checking work.

Diploma in Health and Social Care (Adults - England)
This qualification forms part of a suite of Health and Social Care Diplomas which assess a learner’s competence within a work situation. The qualification contains a wide range of optional units which will allow opportunity for competence to be demonstrated in a wide range of contexts. The achievement of this qualification will meet the requirements of the workforce for this sector. Available in levels 2 and 3.
Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care

It does not confirm competence but relates to the knowledge elements covered in the mandatory units of the Health and Social Care Diploma. Learners progressing to the Health and Social Care Diploma will therefore be able to have their achievement of the knowledge recognised in these units via RPL.
Certificate / Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce
These qualifications are for practitioners or those who are looking to enter the workforce and have access to a work placement within this area. The qualifications are flexible in structure enabling the organisation and individual to choose the optional units which best suit their work situation and job role. The recognition of these qualifications in relation to the Children and Young People's Workforce is applicable in England only. Certificate is available in level 2 and Diploma at level 3.
The EDI Qualification in Employability Skills aims to provide learners with the knowledge, understanding and skills necessary to enter employment. The syllabus covers business and customer awareness, working as part of a group and preparation for work and depending on which level, additional optional units. These include, completing an application, preparing for interview and producing a CV. Award and Certificate available.
